Similar effects in other music videos 2

Here is the music video for the song 'New Divide' by 'Linkin Park'.

Some of the effects that have been used to create this music video, I really like the look of, and perhaps they would work with my music video. I am not sure that trying to re-create these effects in the time that I have left would not be a wise idea, as I am not entirely sure how to generate them, nor do I know if I have the software readily available. Trying to create these effects would include trying to find a tutorial or similar that will teach me how to do it, mastering it, then applying it to my own footage. This could take a long time to learn and as it is not a simple effect I would think that it would take a long time to complete.

The one effect that I will try to generate briefly, should I manage to get it done in a decent amount of time and to a reasonable standard, I may end up using it in my video, is the effect where the singer is generated out of lights, hollow, but with his 'outer shell' made of small led-like lights.

I think that the way this video is cut together is actually very good, I think that the transitions are well timed and using a style like this with my video would be a good idea.
